Ignoring the smut... which admittedly, is most of the story, it's not too bad of a read.

He's willing to settle, though, because he is well aware that they aren't likely to gain a sudden trove of high literature anytime soon. Or even just books that aren't excuses for literary smut.

He sighs just thinking about it. Maybe someday, but he's not going to hope for it too hard. Instead, he just tucks his cheek up between Keigo's shoulder and neck, most likely to warm it up, judging from the fact that it's cool to the touch — and unnaturally smooth where there's scales rather than skin in patches. ]


It reminds me a bit of The Little Mermaid... Are you familiar with the story? The fairy tale, not the movie.
