[ From the very start, Bakugou has had very little interest in this assignment, because it doesn't quite hit his threshold for making things blow up/performing violence upon others/inspiring his competitive drive. No, instead of an assignment that's focused on learning to punch things out good, this one is an exercise in teamwork — for those times that you end up having to tag-team a villain, after all, being able to work together flexibly on the spot is an important skill.

At least, that's what All Might said. In Bakugou's esteemed opinion, it's an important skill for fucking plebs who can't fight on their own.

That he's partnered up with Todoroki — the person who had chosen Deku as a rival instead of him — makes it all the more irritating for him. And it is definitely just irritating because of the whole snubbed rivalry, and not because he thinks Todoroki is either cool or hot or any other complimentary words.

— well, in the metaphorical sense of the words, at least. He would have to grudgingly admit that he does not disrespect Todoroki for his aptitude for heroics, which is a lot more than he can say for most other people. For one thing, he actually remembers Todoroki's name.

This week's assignment is to come up with a combination attack. Most pairs have already managed something. These two, though, have not yet made it off the drawing board, and Bakugou's starting to get (more) frustrated (than he usually is). The teachers won't even let them out into the practice fields until they've presented a decent plan of attack, and Bakugou is getting tired of sitting around inside when he knows everybody else is off breaking stuff. ]

You can freeze them in place and then I'll blow them up, how's that?!

[ His ideas have been getting progressively less creative over time, for that matter. ]
